As a founder and managing shareholder of Oronoz & Ericsson, LLC, Thomas “Tom” Ericsson is widely regarded as one of the most talented trial attorneys in the Las Vegas area. As a co-manager of the firm, he seeks to further the values that have carried him throughout his life and impressive career: the pursuit of justice and the defense of Constitutional rights.
Tom has traveled widely but has returned, time and again, to the American Southwest to build his practice and raise his family. He has lived in Sweden, is fluent in Swedish, and served his country for 10 years as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserves. He attended Brigham Young University on a full-tuition academic scholarship and then the prestigious Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley. Highly sought-after by many of the elite national litigation firms, he chose to begin his career in the private sector here in Las Vegas. He has earned his reputation as a remarkably skilled advocate in several complex civil litigation cases.
In 2000, Mr. Ericsson left the world of civil litigation to pursue his passion for defending individuals accused of crimes and helping those who incurred injuries as the result of another party’s negligence. He accepted a position as a Clark County Public Defender, where he successfully tried hundreds of criminal cases. He re-entered private practice in 2005 with the goal of founding a firm that could provide a combination of experienced trial work and aggressive representation for each and every client, whether they are suffering from a serious personal injury, facing criminal charges, or even dealing with a family law matter.
